The other day me and the family went to Leek and seen some old stuff, here is what we saw.
This is a cross in the middle of town, I am not sure how old it is.
This is a saxon cross from the 8th century, it is in Leeks Graveyard.
This is a grave stone that we found in the Graveyard, it read that this person died of small pox in the 20th century, were it killed around 300-500 million people alone.
this grave stone said that this person died in 1687, which was 40 years after New Zealand was discovered.

end of term reflection
END OF TERM REFLETION
What did you like about choosing your own work?
I liked how we got to chose our own work, because most of the time we all have to do the same thing, and that is lame because we all come up with the same information. But if we are all doing different activities, we all have different information so we have different things to say to each other.
Comment on the types of presentation tools and say what you found as you experimented with them
For my presentation I used Power Point and Glogster, I will start with Power Point. I have never used Power Point before, but the first time I used it I understood how to use it straight away, because of its easy format and layout. It is also easier to get around because if you click ALT, it takes you into a bunch of short cuts, I think power point is good because it is quick and easy to use. When I first went on Glogster, I found it very confusing and did not understand how to use it. But the longer I was on there the easier it became, so in the end I do not like Glogster, but what would make it better is if it had a learning system for beginners.
What did you like and what inspired you about other people’s work?
I think everyone in the class has something different in their work. Some add humour and some add of art or pictures and some do extra hard work, I think all of them should get a good grade because they all try hard.
How did you find doing your own research was the Google wonder wheel helpful?
I personally like doing the research, because if you need to go back there in future you can. But if you already have the information you don’t know where it came from, and all you have to do with the information is hand it to the teacher. I think the google wonder wheel is bad, because it took me a long time to find it and the time it took me to find it, I already could have finished getting the information by then, the websites it gave me I could have found easily and that’s why I personally would not use the wonder wheel.
What have you found fun and hard in creativity?
I found the starter activities really fun like making the lantern and sculpture. I didn’t find anything boring or hard, I found some of the starting activities challenging like the sculpture but they were fun at the same time, I hope next term will be as it was this term.
Do you read the teachers feedback and other students work?
I always read the teachers feed back as soon as I find it, sometimes I don’t reply if it’s only something like good job, but I do read them. I do read other peoples work, if I don't understand what we have to do I look what others have done and use it as a guide for my work. Doing thius makes me feel like we are all in a big classroom.
Just another thing - I think we should all be friends on facebook so we can all see what we do out of school. I think this would make things more interesting then when reading others work because you could understand some of their influences. I've really enjoyed this term, but I have been very busy, I now have a new little sister, I had to help my dad move his business to another location, (we had to move 40 pianos!), plus I have been doing TaeKwonDo, roller blading, football, and I love my PSP!!

WWE

For those of you that do not know what WWE is, it stands for world wrestling entertainment. It is one of my favourite things to watch on tv. It is all choreography, but it is still cool to watch. T,here are two wrestling programs my favourite is called "Smack Down", Dad's favourite is called "RAW". They are both coming to England so we are arguing which one to go to. On RAW they will have John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho and Sheamus. On Smack Down they will have Rey Mysterio, Big Show, CM Punk and Jack Swagger.
Dad's favourite is John Cena, and mine is Rey Mysterio, he is the guy in the picture.
Do you like wrestling? If so which event do you think me and Dad should go and see?

Green Day

GREEN DAY
Last night I went and saw Green Day live. If you do not know who Green Day are, they are a rock band, and they are my favourite. The concert was really good they had fireworks, hoses to wet people in the front rows, a toilet paper shooter that shot toilet paper at the crowd and t shirt guns to shoot t shirts at the crowd and they had the best back drop ever. I did not get hit by anything though. At the concert you could buy t-shirts and posters, it was the first concert I have ever been to, it was really good it went from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It was really good at the concert I got two t-shirts and two posters; I would really like to go again I think I will remember it for the rest of my life.
